Asia's Best Kept Secret - MYANMAR

Hassle free travel through Burma with experienced female guide to assist you 24 hours a day. Why visit the beaches of Thailand when you can experiece the untouched beauty of the beaches on the Bay of Bengal in Myanmar - no touts or motorised water sports.

Please note I have just returned at the beginning of November from another visit to Myanmar and tourists are starting to return which is great to see. It is a wonderful time to visit Ngapali Beach from November through to March so if you are after gin clear waters and an unspoilt beach this could be  a great place to unwind over the Christmas New Year.

I have lived on the Gold Coast , in Australia since 1986 and visited places from Syria to Shanghai, Christchurch to Calcutta, Hanoi to Hong Hong, Bangkok to Bhutan.  I have travelled group and solo and therefore have many experiences of all kinds of journeys. After 30 years of travel I have found a destination I want  to share with you and help you to see and experience - Southeast Asia's best kept secret -  Myanmar.

Myanmar sits at the crossroads of Asia's greatest civilisations of India and China, and looks out onto the vast Indian ocean next to Thailand. One of South East Asia's largest and most diverse countries, Myanmar stretches from the sparkling islands of the Andaman Sea in the south right up into the Eastern Himalayan mountain range.

To this day Myanmar remains one of the most mysterious and undiscovered destinations in the world. A land of breathtaking beauty and charm yet only recently emerging into the modern world.

Myanmar offers all the traditional delights of Asia in one fascinating country. Virgin jungles, snow capped mountains and pristine beaches, combined with a rich and glorious heritage spanning more than two thousand years. Spectacular monuments and ancient cities attest to a vibrant culture that is still home to 135 different ethnic groups.

Long understood  and appreciated only by the small number of dedicated visitors who kept coming back year after year, Myanmar' s treasures - cultural, historical, and natural - remain intact, offering everyone a unique example of how the rest of the region looked years before: untouched, unspoilt and awe-inspiring.

Bagan and Inle Lake are fast becoming destinations not to be missed and the world class beaches of Ngapali and Ngwe Saung are being mentioned in the same breath as those found in Indonesia or Thailand.

The golf courses are some of the best and most unique in the world. The Gary Player designed Pun Hlaing in Yangon and Bagan Golf resort in Bagan are not to be missed if you enjoy golf.
